Everyone loves a good cookie now and again right?!
Today is all about some yummy cookies. I made these at Christmas, but am dying to make them again soon!
I will admit that I found the recipe through Sarah! She made these and they looked amazing so I threw them into my Mom’s cookie rotation!
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c white sugar
- 1 c shortening (I prefer unsalted butter)
- 2 eggs
- 1.5 tsp Vanilla extract
- 2.5 c AP flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1.5 c candy (m&ms)
1. Cream shortening, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients to the mixture. Stir in half of the candies.
2. Drop teaspoons onto cookie sheet. Use other half of candies and place some on top of dough.
3. Bake at 350F for 9-11 minutes
I worked HARD on these cookies! My mom does not have a kitchen aid!! lol! My arm was tired!!
I thought the base dough of these cookies was great! Not only is it great for M&Ms but also for chocolate or peanut butter chips. I think my next go around would be to add some chocolate chips and peanut butter chips in!
